Antique hunting at Bouckville Antique Fair, The Camellia

We were thrilled last Summer to be able to attend New York State Largest Antique Week - Madison Bouckville , to be held this year Aug. 15-21, 2016. This Antiques Fair is massive, you really need at least 2 days to see it all. Vendors come and go, some vendors come later on in the week, some leave early. If you are looking for Antiques, chances are you will find it all at Bouckville. Want to attend?  http://www.madison-bouckville.com/index.html

This is old Lace Making kit. Lace isn't as highly prized as it was decades ago, but most Vintage lovers love Lace. It is a labour-intensive art, and it was interesting to see this.

If your claw-foot tub is missing its feet, here you have lots to choose from.

You can find everything, like this Vintage Wedding dress.

Vintage metal signs abound  - these add so much interest to a room.

A vintage sailing board game, with a whole new language of sailing terms.

Antique Frogs - these were used for flower arranging, especially the Ikebana style. You simply place the stem of the bloom onto the pin.

A paint cleaner bucket - for back in the days when paintbrushes were cleaned with turpentine.

A collection of old paintbrushes. If you pick up older furniture pieces, and you get them home, and they look, well, sort of grungy, you can repaint them with #Cottage Paint.

Yes, we painted right over the fabric with #Cottage Paint.

Masking off with painter's tape to do grain-sack stripes.

If you are visiting Bouckville, most vendors do not take credit cards, so take cash, and cash machines are few and far between. It's also a good idea to take something to load your purchases onto, that you can push around in a grass field ( translate to need big wheels).
