A sad Good-Bye to Summer, and Hello to colder weather.

We have had a lovely Summer, with lots of heat and humidity. We have gotten so used to shorts and sandals, yet that first bite of cold is always a bit of a shock to the system. On a recent roadtrip, you could see the leaves starting to change colour.

It will be sad to say good-bye to all that green, and see nothing but white outside. 

Our Gardens have been growing like crazy this Summer, thanks to all the sun and high humidity. These Heavenly Blue Morning glories are stunning!

Summertime is great for taking long road trips... it's a relief to leave your everyday life for a bit, and go sight seeing. This is a brand new Tourist Centre in New York. 

We are missing the Lake already. These are the beaches of Lake Michigan, just around Marquette. Sandy beaches, cold and clear water, and the beaches go for miles.  

well, I'm off to find some socks and to dig out the flannel shirts. Sigh... Are you happy that the weather is getting colder?
