Southbound to get away from the cold, Winter 2022, Air travel issues with Sunwing.
So many Canadians are looking forward to travelling Southbound, especially after the last 2 years of travel restrictions due to Covid. Sunwing was the carrier of choice, as you could fly directly to Mexico, Dominican Republic or Cancun. Less time in the air, meant more time to enjoy in the Tropics.
An unusually cold front, Staffing problems, and a shortage of planes led to a mess of passengers stranded in various destinations this Christmas.
